Paul Ryan could either be very good, or very bad for America

It looks like he can exert control over the GOP legislators. He's making a strong start.

Now, if he works that control for the good of the nation, we all benefit.

If he uses that control to jerk us around to the tune of the whacko social agenda and worse economic falsehoods, then we are in deeper trouble than we were with Boehner. In compensation, such efforts would strengthen Bernie, I think. He knows how to deal with groups.

Bernie is the cat herder!

Who, in their right mind, applies for a job with the conditions of "I need family personal time" attached to the job? In the REAL world, how many of you think you'll get the job if you make that statement a condition of your employment? The answer is ZERO!

These rotten corrupt, egotistical bastards must be removed from office. They represent no one but themselves.

supports family leave for all, NOT one person. Ryan thinks he way above everyone else.

I am so sick of the people that represent the GOP. They are all egotistical, self centered pricks.

He's an Ayn Rand idiot who wants to gut all social programs — medicare, Social Security, the ACA, if course he's going to be bad.

What makes you think he would change everything we found out about him in the 2012 campaign?

I really don't see Ryan doing anything other than jerking us around to the tune of a whacko social agenda and gutting every program for the common good in the name of cutting taxes.

Ryan's a compassionless idealogue who isn't as smart as he thinks he is. I expect his tenure as Speaker will be brief and bumpy.

I just wish he would use a book a bit closer to reality.
I'm pretty sure the Orcs would be compound interest.

As Charles Pierce so aptly describes him. The only good he could do is to blatantly come out and push his pans to take away Social Security and Medicare, so that Americans get so pissed off at the GOP they vote them out of office.
