THE FUCKING HOUSE IS ON FIRE! The nitpicking is getting ridiculous. Stop fighting about bullshit and who's woke and who's faux-woke. If the house is on fire I'm not going to care whether the firefighters are woke.

(58,785 posts)then? He's constantly trying to get his behavioral foot out of his mouth enough to appear woke about minority and women's issues.
My Jewish husband's his age, and I recognize the problem. They're both still somewhat imprinted with the attitudes prevalent when they were growing up back in the 1940s-60s, no matter how they've advanced over the years.
There are differences nevertheless, and my husband's more "woke" than Sanders, faux or otherwise. He's naturally good natured, egalitarian, very accepting, decent, and generous toward others, and no hypocrite. I promise HIS female staff would never had had to to rebel against abuse and injustice -- in the 21st Century for god's sake. And he wouldn't need anyone to tell him what was wrong with sending Vermont's nuclear waste to a poor, Hispanic-dominated town in rural Texas because he wanted to stay reelected.

(58,785 posts)that he didn't do as a +1 vote to the Democratic caucuses. He's as progressive as the Democratic house and senate caucuses he voted with as part of his elite job, and not even one inch more.
When rhetoric conflicts with reality, go with reality. And by his own behaviors we know a lot of his colleagues, including Joe Biden, are more "woke" than Sanders. There reasons our AA power bloc won't support him are real, not "faux."
