Now point to the part of the snippet where Joe Biden said -THAT CERTAIN DESEGREGATION POLICIES WOULD CAUSE HIS CHILDREN TO GROW UP IN A RACIAL JUNGLE - those words in a sentence.

Jungle

(1): a confused or disordered mass of objects : JUMBLE
(2): something that baffles or frustrates by its tangled or complex character : MAZE
the jungle of housing laws
— Bernard Taper
b: a place of ruthless struggle for survival

"In the quote, which appears to come from a congressional hearing related to anti-busing legislation, Biden emphasized wanting to "insure we do have orderly integration of society," adding he was "not just talking about education but all of society." "

They praise the unwavering consistency in his positions on the issues over his political career.

Then, when past statements like this arise, they brush it off with "people change".

Hmm.

Personally, I think he just made a bunch of dumb statements when he was younger (though, many were well into adulthood). They shouldn't necessarily be relevant to the current election cycle, but summarily discounting everything questionable that he's said in the past while simultaneously praising him for never changing his mind on anything is a bit disingenuous.

Not to mention attacking other candidates for things they did or said decades ago. Can't have it both ways.

Not to be confused with the Strom Thurman eulogy wave. There was also a wave of post 5. A wave of 'Joe puts people in prison for fun.' (crime bill) I can't remember them all. I know there were some in December because that's when Nina Turner went South to tell all the Democrats who lived there that they couldn't vote for Biden anymore and that he was pimpin' Obama.' Her words not mine. Bernie's poll numbers among black voters dropped 5 points. LOL A lot came out then though catapulted through the usual sources landing here.

Back, anyway the Strom Thurmond outrage I saw was over Biden saying nice things about Thurmond when Thurmond's family invited him to speak at Strom's eulogy. Now here's Bernie saying nice things about George Wallace. The third time this has happened. Also with Crime Bill and SS. It's almost as if this stuff is coming out in a pattern. Bernie attacks. His attack is countered. Wild. Anyway, Karma has not been kind to Bernie.

Demagogues like wallace and trump are aware of people's fears, anxieties, and prejudices, and then exploit them for their own gain.

Good leaders, like Bernie, are also aware of what people are feeling. However rather then exploit people's fear and anxieties, good leaders will try to address them in a reasonable and compassionate way.
