I'll be leaving SC in two weeks for almost 6 months in the Coronado National Forest - Pusch Ridge Wilderness - working a fire lookout on Lemmon Mountain. I will be able to see both the Saguaro NP East & West from my near-9000 foot perch. I'm looking forward to a lot of night and lightning photography this fire season. This red circle on this photo is the approximate location I'll spend this fire season. This photo was taken from the Saguaro NP East.

"Bleak House" - Potential entry into Southern-themed juried show.

"Bleak House"

Too strong? Politically incorrect? Over the top? I'm thinking that it portrays a mindset that keeps parts of the rural South in abject poverty. This photo was taken in upstate South Carolina (serious Tea Party country).
