Poll finds Trump in dead head-to-head heats with four Dems in Texas

President Trump is in a dead heat with four Democratic presidential candidates in GOP-leaning Texas, according to a new Emerson College poll.

The poll, released Monday, shows Trump in close races in hypothetical general election matchups in Texas with former Rep. Beto O'Rourke (D-Texas), former Vice President Joe Biden, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.).

Biden has the best results against Trump, garnering the support of 50 percent of voters compared to Trump's 49 percent, the poll shows. O'Rourke's results are similar, with him and Trump each getting the support of 50 percent of voters in a hypothetical matchup

If Biden gets the Nom, a Biden / Warren ticket would excite me a lot more

Biden is not my favorite but I do like him a lot. If he gets the nomination, putting Warren on the ticket would make me much more excited. Regardless I will be voting for any Democrat on the first day of early voting.

Who is Paying For Heartland Institute Climate Denial-Palooza?

This week the Heartland Institute will be gathering their small island of misfit toys in Washington, DC for another of their tedious climate Denial-Palooza events. We have followed these events going back to 2008.

Heartland declares War on the climate
The climate deniers of course feel vindicated by the Trump election. These fringe extremists have a lot in common with the extreme agenda of the Trump camp, where many have embedded themselves. There are speakers at the Heartland meeting who were on the Trump EPA transition team, who will be talking about the plan to dismantle the government’s climate science and policy capacity. The Heartland Institute is equally gushing with pride, with boss Joe Bast declaring war in February, writing about the climate change policy fight, “It is a war, the most important and most consequential war of our era.” Fighting words indeed.

The question is…Who is paying for this?

I predict when voting starts people will vote for who they think has the best chance to beat Trump

I am willing to bet when they interview Democrats coming out of the booth the bulk of them will say they voted for the person they felt had the best chance to beat dickhead. I have my favorites but risking Trump and more conservative Supreme Court justices and all the other damage he would pile on top of what he has already done to make America Nazi, is not something I take lightly. The key is figuring out who would match up best.

I am sure there are a lot of people who are solid on their candidate and won't change come the Primaries but beating Trump is not something I am willing to take a chance on and I think a lot of Democrats will be in the same mindset. I will be looking at everyone closely and how they are matching up against fuckface.

Michigan city moves to criminalize calling 911 on people of color who are just living their lives

Sweeping amendments to a 66-year-old human rights ordinance might make Grand Rapids, Mich. the latest city to try to tackle the epidemic of racially-motivated abuses of emergency services. The planned changes “would make it a criminal misdemeanor to racially profile people of color for ‘participating in their lives.’”

Diversity and Inclusion Manager Patti Caudill said the ordinance is a new concept in Michigan. It isn’t meant to discourage 911 calls, she said. Rather, it’s meant to make people “check their biases” before calling the police.

“Call the police, but if you’re calling because your neighbors are having a barbecue and you’re calling because of some implicit bias because they’re people of color, we don’t want to see that,” she said.

The scenarios Caudill cites are all too familiar these days: White people keep calling 911 on people of color while they’re simply trying to live their best lives. The depressing #LivingWhileBlack hashtag never lacks new fodder, since black people face the brunt of these racist actions that waste valuable first-responder resources. The epidemic, which we can only hope peaked in 2018, showed the nation just how hard it is to be a person of color in spaces that bigots have declared to be for “whites only.”

There was a time when I hated our President. A time when I believed that billionaires were ruining the world and that vaccines didn’t cause autism. A time when I believed in things like institutional racism and global warming. Then one day a chance click on youtube changed my worldview forever.

I saw what appeared to be a thumbnail of a man talking to his phone while driving by himself. Naturally, I was intrigued and clicked on it. Before my very eyes this lone driver proved to me that the Clintons and the Obamas were responsible for every mass shooting in the last 10 years. He proved that they got away with it because all of the other liberals were too busy complaining about their latte orders at Starbucks. And he did it all without stating a single fact or citing a single source.

I was blown away. At first my liberal media induced brainwashing tried to reject the things he was saying, but then I realized, “if he’s wrong, why is he so angry alone in a vehicle?” And just like that, I was saved from a lifetime of libtardation.

I think we should draft Michelle Obama to run

I was just talking to my sister and we were talking about the candidates and how we like a lot of them fine but are not blown away and we started discussing who we wish would run and we both brought up Michelle Obama at the same time. She has the type of smarts, charisma and magic I look for! If she jumped in she would be my first pick easily.
