Indiscriminate or Disproportionate Attacks per the Geneva Conventions

Indiscriminate or Disproportionate Attacks
Humanitarian law prohibits any kind of indiscriminate attacks. Such attacks do not distinguish between military objectives and civilian persons or property. Such attacks are defined and prohibited in detail in Article 51 of the 1977 Additional Protocol I to the Geneva Conventions as well as in Rules 11, 12 and 13 of ICRC customary IHL study:

attacks that are not directed at a specific military objective;
attacks that employ a method or means of combat that cannot be directed at a specific military objective;
attacks that employ a method or means of combat whose effects cannot be limited;
attacks by bombardment, by any methods or means, that treat as a single military objective a number of clearly separated and distinct military objectives located in a city, town, village, or other area containing a similar concentration of civilians or civilian objects;
attacks that may be expected to cause incidental loss of civilian life, injury to civilians, damage to civilian objects, or a combination thereof and that would be excessive in relation to the concrete and direct military advantage anticipated.

Democrats shouldn't have nayed the adjournment call.

Should have let McCarthy and the Republicans get bad press all weekend…..because of the nay vote and then the subsequent roll call vote, it gave republicans time to talk and convince the holdouts to vote present.

If McCarthy doesn't become speaker.

I assume he would resign, right? Which will help us for awhile because the house will become 221-213 until Newsom calls a special election. I mean no way he would want to stay around after getting rejected. Yeah, I know that he stayed in Congress the first time he seeked the role when Ryan got it, but this time is different.

Sinema was hoping for and thought that Mark Kelley would lose

She was counting on that scenario so that she could say that he lost because he supported Biden and the Democratic agenda too much, while she was more independent. And that Arizona isn’t as Blue/Purple as Democrats think so we’d better get behind her in the Democratic primary. But when Kelley won, she knew that would embolden democrats even more to have a primary challenger. She knew she was toast in the democratic primary so she went independent. She didn’t go full on republican because (even though they like her obstruction of Biden’s agenda) those crazy republicans in Arizona aren’t going to vote for a bisexual former Green Party candidate who voted to impeach Trump twice in a primary.

Trafalagar Georgia runoff poll

Warnock 51 - Walker 47

If you know anything about this polling company, they put out tons of polls favoring the Republican candidates….they were completely awful this year and lucked up in 2016….I bet most of their polls are fake and they don’t put any statistical rigor in them….but I find it funny that they put out this poll the day of the election; I still think they were fake and probably took the aggregate of the other polls just to save face and to say they predicted this race correctly.

California and New York

The Democrats not being able to gerrymander the hell out these states while Republicans are able to gerrymander Texas and Florida is really a big problem. Democrats would be in the majority with about 225 seats at least . Dumbest thing the people in Cal and NY have done. Yes independent redistricting commissions are a good thing and should be how all states operate, but you can’t unilaterally disarm when the other side doesn’t.

2024 House elections

Every Democratic candidate running against a republican who won a close race this year in states like NY, CA, etc better be prepared to run advertisements featuring MTG, Jordan, Boebert, etc tying their republican opponent to them (they should have done it in this year’s election)…:that’s one thing that republicans are effective at, creating the democratic bogey man/woman of the day and running ads featuring them and attacking their opponent….I live in Texas in the San Antonio area where there are like 4 congressional districts in the same media network, you would have thought that Pelosi and AOC where running for office here

Funniest election coverage ever

I went to this pollster’s twitter because he hadn’t posted since election night.

https://mobile.twitter.com/trafalgar_group

His last tweet was about how he was going to be here for election night (right website)…

https://www.dailywire.com/episode/live-the-daily-wire-election-night-2022

They started out so pumped about the red wave…but as the night carried on they started to get sad/mad….eventually the video stopped and a message appeared stating that they were experiencing “technical difficulties”

This guy has been MIA since Election Day

He tweeted so much leading up to the election and was a constant guest in FoxNews, but crickets since then:

DeSantis

The MSM is calling TFG a midterms loser because a lot of his endorsed candidates lost….but Desantis was crisscrossing the country holding rallies for these same losers, but the media isn’t pointing that out.
