Where do the polls stand on trump and repubs

I will bet my bottom dollar that trump polls, et al., are diving big time. If Fed. workers are Democrats, as trump says (faux facts), then companies that hire contract workers, are repubs ... woopssie

ted scruzzy, likes eminent domaine for Texan's!

Just saying. Beard or no beard, he stood there behind trump during his BS wall speech, down on the Texas border. Time for Texan's to rise up against the 'goptrumpers party' ... anti-conservationism, at it's naked best, Texans should be crying over this. We know that ted just got re-elected, thinly. So, Texan's need to make him answer for land grabs.

2014 and idiot trumpers incubating in stupidity

We will never convince trumpets to do anything that responsible adults would do. Trying to give this group the truthful 'facts' is like putting a pig on roller skates, whats the point? The 30% of the population that are hard core trumpers are a lost cause. Let trump keep them.

Pickup trucks customized to spew black smoke into the air are quickly becoming the newest weapon in the culture wars.

"Coal Rollers" are diesel trucks modified with chimneys and equipment that can force extra fuel into the engine causing dark black smoke to pour out of the chimney stacks. These modifications are not new, but as Slate's Dave Weigel pointed out on Thursday, "rolling coal" has begun to take on a political dimension with pickup drivers increasingly viewing their smokestacks as a form of protest against environmentalists and Obama administration emissions regulations.

trump thrives on 'Sadistic Power'

Based on their previous work on the "Dark Triad" of personality, Buckels and colleagues Delroy Paulhus of the University of British Columbia and Daniel Jones of the University of Texas El Paso surmised that sadism is a distinct aspect of personality that joins with three others -- psychopathy, narcissism, and Machiavellianism -- to form a "Dark Tetrad" of personality traits.

"Trolling culture is unique in that it explicitly celebrates sadistic pleasure, or 'lulz,'" says Buckels. "It is, perhaps, not surprising then that sadists gravitate toward those activities."

And they're also exploring vicarious forms of sadism, such as enjoying cruelty in movies, video games, and sports.

The researchers believe their findings have the potential to inform research and policy on domestic abuse, bullying, animal abuse, and cases of military and police brutality.

"It is such situations that sadistic individuals may exploit for personal pleasure," says Buckels. "Denying the dark side of personality will not help when managing people in these contexts."

A dark thought

With all the reports about TSA, HMS officers, Fed prison guards, and Coast Guard, not getting paid .... calling in sick or quitting ... could trump be setting us up for a terrorist attack? And then blame Democrats !!! trumps Reichstag moment.

For my 1,000 'th post: a question for all

I love DU for keeping me informed over the years.

So here is my question: What was your first memory, earliest memory, when you realized that you loved someone or something ?... love of a person, piece of art, love of anything.

For me it is a strange memory. I was 2-3 years old and was in a playpen. My mom was cleaning and pushed the playpen up against a small table. I remember using my bottom teeth to gnaw on the table and I clearly remember thinking how delicious the table tasted, it was love .... I swear! My family still has the table, including the teeth marks. Now I know why I am so strange, LOL.
