I recently walked in to a store that sells two wheeled vehicles. There were three associates on the floor.,

One employee was waiting on a customer. The other two couldn’t have cared less that a potential customer was in the store to buy something. When nobody approached me, I eventually walked out. I prefer not to have to beg someone to take my money. I expect some form of service in exchange.

The next day I received a survey (!!!) to tell of my experience at the store, which I did in vivid pissy detail. The whole point of this diatribe is that I was offended (majorly pissed) that I was identified simply by walking in their door and subsequently asked to do a survey. To me, this was an infringement of my privacy.

I don’t know to him I should bitch - my Senator, Ron Johnson? Fat chance. I doubt that he can even read. Tammy Baldwin. Perhaps but she’s not my Senator. Someone locally? I don’t know.

We are all being identified on a daily basis and I for one object in the strongest of terms. I am writing this after reading the Tic Toc post on DU. Yes, this post is somewhat unrelated to the basis of the TicToc post, but still falls into the realm of that soon to be forgotten word, PRIVACY!

I apologize. I seldom look to see if I have been sent an

email in DU. I now see that there have been several emails and I pledge to respond to each of them. I get so engrossed in going down all of the categories that I haven’t noticed the emails. I’ll kick myself around the room a few times and be more cognisant in the future. I’m not the stuck up prick that I have appeared to be - at least that’s what I tell myself.

And then there's this little tidbit.

Had the insurrectionists been black or Hispanic in majority on Jan. 6th., I have little doubt that 1) they would have been massacred by the National Guard on the steps, and 2) there would already have been riots in the streets.

On the other hand, I am relieved as to how many of the “deplorables” (thank you Hillary) have been rounded up and incarcerated, but I also believe that the scenario would have been significantly different had the rioters been colored.

No matter how good I may or may not be, there are always those who are truly much better, many who think they are much better and those who will never become any better but just think they are.

I ran a business for thirty six years. There were businesses that were more successful, less successful and plain old mediocre. There was always an elitist who always wanted to dominate the narrative thinking that they were for some reason smarter or better than those who didn’t sell at least $15M a year in goods or services.

I came to DU to share my opinions which to some are valid, to some they are invalid and to others plain old meaningless.

I’m getting tired of the warfare that seems to be emerging when someone states an opinion that the
“almighty” need to grind into the ground. It was not a post of mine in particular. I just spent the last half hour or so going down the General Discussion list and getting repulsed at the “ holier than thou” responses to people’s posts. I thought we were all on the same team here but find myself having to put up with another top shelf guitar player who thinks that their chops are the only ones that count.

I enjoy DU and will continue to monitor and occasionally add my two bits, but honestly, I sure don’t need the shit that some are throwing at others for simply speaking their mind.

Now then, do you think that Republicans aren't prepared to modify the SC?
