Back in the early 1970s, when Richard Nixon was imagined to be the worst possible president, I was hanging out one afternoon with David Peel and Abbie. Both were feeling guilty about their direct influences upon John's newest double LP, "Sometime in New York City." Sensing they we were all overcome with grief, I suggested that we seek relief in Pat Boone's swimming pool. By no coincidence, Nancy Reagan was there, willing to baptis us. When we pleaded with her to give us the courage to not abuse the drugs our beast fiends might tempt us with, Nancy answered, "Just Say No!" These three words, soon to appear in the Newest Testicle, saved a generation.
Okay, let's see if story #2 is more convincing .....
On that same day, I was getting very high with two of my best hoodlum friends.Remember, this was at a time of innocence, though zero poltical correctness. One friend became ill at ease, with the potent weed we were smoking. He asked my bud David what type of weed it was? I still remember David's answer:"Black African Pygmy Swamp Fever Death Weed." Two years later, though not to the day, David had the first of aseries of psychiatric hospitalizations.
