In reply to the discussion: Went to Costco today...EVERYONE had a mask on, and then THIS GUY [View all]HockeyMom
(14,337 posts)80. Back when Walmart still had outside lines
with one shopper in and one shopper out, there was an old man (70s?) in front of me not wearing a mask and holding a sheet of paper. When his turn to go in came, he handed that sheet of paper to the greeter, she looked at it quickly, and waved him inside.
Should the other customers on line have yelled at him, or demanded to read his paper? Maybe even without some phony medical paper, he should not be shopping at all at his age? At risk elderly people should be ordering their groceries online, having them delivered, and staying home?
Just curious what your reaction would be. BTW, I am 71 myself.

I have seen them put a mask on to get in the store, and then they pull it down to their necks.

Yeah, that pisses me off when the only place a store enforces it is when you enter.

That sounds like the Costco I know and patronize. Unlike this odd report yesterday...

I was at a local store today where most had masks but plenty did not even try to have one.

I hope they are providing the guy at the door a shower and change clothes before going home.
