Remember when so many though Bush's win over Gore was illegitimate?

Now, what if, instead of gracefully conceding, Gore had said, "darn right it was illegitimate" and had implored his supporters to take to the streets in protest. Now, imagine them being Trump supporters, i.e. crowds full of gun-toting racists. You don't see how that could easily get ugly? And remember that between election day and inauguration day, Trump has the federal power on HIS side. So even something like Biden sending in the National Guard isn't an option. But even after Biden is sworn in, it could be a dangerous time, if Trump riles up his base instead of calming them.
