2. I never watched Ellen much in the past, but in the last few years I became a regular viewer.

But then I stopped. It bothered me the way she would treat people. There was a sense of bullying sometimes especially with her staff members. It also bothered me that she seemed to delight in peoples mishaps, like in the games. She appeared to get pure enjoyment over people's failures. Even when she had some "star" on as a guest, there was a sense of one upmanship, always challenging them to some contest of who's the best; unless it was a really, really big star like Pres Obama, Cher or Oprah. She even took pokes at Michelle Obama in the supermarket skit. I thought at times it bordered on disrespectful. She has a very competitive nature, which is fine, but as the host of a show don't always try to one up your guests.

I don't know, maybe I'm being too critical, but these revelations don't surprise me.

I do give her a lot of credit for speaking out for the LGBT community, she has done a lot to bring important issues to the forefront. I'm don't doubt that overall she is a good and caring person. But sometimes her persona is just kind of cruel.
