Updated: 8/2 Just saw this article. It mentions 2 situations Garrett has interacted with Ellen;

Garrett and DeGeneres both voiced characters in Finding Nemo and Finding Dory. He has also made multiple appearances on her show over the years promoting projects.

Garrett’s comments followed Australian radio host Neil Breen recalling a “bizarre” encounter from 2013 when he was told by Ellen producers not to look at her ahead of an interview.
