Hubby is having a kidney cancer operation early tomorrow
morning (Wed 26th) We could use lots and lots of prayers and positive thoughts sent our way.

This is his third bout with Kidney cancer. He had his left kidney removed in 2001, a tumor removed from the space where the kidney was in 2004, Now, dammit, he has another one (metastasized) in his lymph nodes on his right side which is next to his good kidney and spine. It's going to be a dangerous and delicate operation so we need all the prayers and good thoughts that we can muster up. Thanks for your help!
I'll try to write tomorrow night and tell you haw he's doing.

9. I'm happy to report that my dear husband
is doing very well. However, he's in a lot of pain and very weak...but that's to be expected and time will cure that.

The good news is they got all the cancer out and he won't have to have chemotherapy...thank goodness! He was dreading that! Also, his heart is doing fine this time around...a real unexpected blessing!

We had some scary moments (hours) but all ended well. I'm totally emotionally, physically and mentally drained, but with some sleep in my own bed...I'll be fine. Cancer is not only tough on the the patients but it sure can be tough on their loved ones too! I know I'm not telling you anything new...but it's good to be reminded once in awhile.

Thanks for all your prayers and positive thoughts. I'm sure they were a positive factor in his excellent outcome. Thanks everyone! Auntie

10. That's great news (not the pain part)
I just sat down at the computer after spending the morning catching up on three days of newspapers. What a downer. I didn't even attempt to read any of the LBN page on my way into DU. So, I came here to check on you and your husband and now the sunshines on my day!!!

I'm so VERY, VERY happy for you both. Lots of love and ((((hugs))))

14. Wonderful news!
Hubby is home! :) No complications or infections etc. :) He's well on the road to recovery! :) We're so lucky! :)The outcome is so much better than I could ever have believed or expected. :) My soul is happy, grateful and contented. :) God or Lady Luck has been good to us and you all were a part of it. Thank you for your sincere support and prayers.:)

I sure hope this is the last time he'll/we'll have to go through this! Unfortunately, the nature of this particular beast is to reoccur. :( I really try hard to think positive and not let those demons of negativity enter my being. I do a pretty good job of positive thinking but, sometimes I weaken and need a good swift kick in the you know where.

Hugs to everyone and good luck with your own lives and may you all have positive thoughts and outcomes. :grouphug:

I will keep you in my prayers and thoughts. I too face the beastly reoccurring thing, but we are all strong people and we will get through this together. :grouphug:

18. He is going through radiation now and will be finished about 12/4
and have time to recuperate by Xmas. They have absolutely no idea if it will be beneficial but if he gets it again...we would be kicking ourselves for at least not trying everything possible. I am pleased to tell you all that the radiation has been going well so far. If he takes a pain and nausea pill every day he seems to feel fairly well although very fatigued and continues his part time job...which he loves dearly. However they did say they will be increasing the dose regularly so I expect the fatigue will increase but he'll get through that.
We could still use a few prayers that it doesn't reoccur or spread.

My prayers and healing light go out to all of you and may you have a wonderful thanksgiving.
