True about the diversity of Amerindians. But it is also true that "Christians" were also diverse. They didn't ALL treat women like baby machines. Many put women on a pedestal. There are also class differences in the treatment of women. And incidentally, there wasn't an infrastructure at that time to support feminism. The nation was being built and we didn't have the luxury of feminism. It is silly to judge of any people from a different era by today's standards.
