9. Actually, there were more like 100 of us there.
A bank thermometer in Waco registered 104. We walked about a half-mile through the heat from where they had us park our cars.

Despite what the news report said, the police actually thanked us for NOT walking on the road. Of course, the only traffic the police were letting on the road were police cars and secret service vehicles. The 'peace rally in Dallas'was the convention of the veterans against the war, which had gone one several days. "Some protestors left" because of the heat. Well, so much for Yahoo News -- at least it HAD a news report about the demo.
