The law says citizens don't have to retreat from an attack as long as they are someplace they legally have a right to be. ... Brady Campaign spokesman Peter Hamm says Florida's new "stand your ground" law could cause the most aggressive people in society to overreact. ... The Brady Campaign, a gun control group, was passing out leaflets about the law today at Miami International Airport. Supporters of the law say it will make Florida safer. Governor Jeb Bush calls the Brady Campaign's actions "pure, unadulterated politics," adding "Shame on them."  |
