87. Well, Thune has proven himself to be worthless to his home state
I feel for the people at Ellsworth, but I'm laughing at Thune.
South Dakotans will remember this in six years, and Thune will be a one-term senator.
For all that Daschle didn't do as Senate Minority(Majority leader for a little while), he was very, very good for his (and my) home state. He authored or co-sponsored over 400 bills during his 24 years, most of them beneficial to S.D. And the people of S.D. turn around and elect a man who sat on his ass for the six years he was in the House.
South Dakota just got what it deserved when they elected the Empty Suit known as John Thune. But I still feel for all the people who will suffer with Ellsworth's closing. I wish they didn't have to go through this.
