65. Craft away, assholes. Spin is not going to win the war for you.
Someone has just got to beat it into them with a sledgehammer: SPIN ONLY WORKS ON AMERICANS. It's going to have no fucking effect on the Iraq insurgency, so no matter what kind of message you 'craft,' you're going to keep losing this war, and that means that eventually, your Jedi magic will not work on us any more.

Anyway, how is this a new message? #1 and #3 have been reiterated constantly for months now. #2 is the only new part and even that has already been floated by plenty of people. And, I would point out, that's precisely why people are souring on the war, which was supposed to be as easy and pain-free as Gulf War I, so I don't know how this is supposed to be a solution, especially since it once again makes a liar out of Cheney.

Are they televizing Bush's Fort Bragg speech anywhere except cable? I might tune in to see whether he can get through it without falling over. One of these days he's going to have a complete public meltdown, and I don't want to miss it.

C ya,

The Plaid Adder
