let a crew member put them randomly in the overheads and then LOCK the overheads? I am saying that you are still allowed to have make-up, saline solution, perfume, etc.

Wouldn't that solve the problem of people mixing lethal little cocktails in flight. The flight crew can sell sealed one dosage eye drops along with soft drinks during the flight.

When the plane is down and the passengers off the plane, the crew wheels out the carry-ons to the waiting area.

More work for the crew, some time lost for the passenger, but probably not a whole lot.

THis whole thing is still idiotic.Someone determined to kill you will always find a way. The long term solution is to make people not want to kill you.
