There are problems with this argument.

1. Unless the crimes of this administration are recognized as crimes it will be EASIER (not harder) for any other Republican to run for office without having to worry about being painted with the sins of their patron.

2. Waiting and worrying does NOTHING to energize our base which is getting weaker, particularly with the increasingly corporate candidates available. Some demonstration of partisanship and opposition to Bush is needed. Desperately.

3. There are no hordes of Bushbots. Though there are republicans, even some that now favor impeachment. Impeaching Bush is not going to excite them, many even sound as though it would be a relief to no longer have to defend him. Also there are the hordes of independents that are anti-war and expected electing Democrats would actuall do something useful.
