War Widow Fights To Stay In U.S.

A local war widow's fight to stay in the United States moved forward on Tuesday.

Dahianna Heard is originally from Venezuela.

When her husband died in Iraq, U.S. officials said she had to return home because the couple had been married for less than two years.

Heard fought to stay in the U.S. because her son, Bryan, was born here.

Her attorney said immigration officials reversed a decision requiring her to leave, bringing her one step closer to getting a green card.
