he's a popular guy, adopted by a lot of the mid-left activist crowd, but he seems more popular with the sort of people who would prefer to vote green (like myself) than with big "D" Democrats. that seems especially true with those big D's who vote in primaries, ones who tend to have more invested in their party machinery than the smaller d's.

ah well. i wish dean luck. it's kinda too bad. he's not perfect, but he had heart. same for dennis. the rest of the crowd's a pack of mannequin candidates, posing pretty while their clothiers dress them in the latest political fashions. even if one won, i can't imagine them being much more, or less, than a cut-rate bill clinton. cut-rate on the good stuff that is, still full price for the bad. and there's plenty of bad.

why bother?
