63. I have seen the video before. It did 'fill me with rage' but not for the reasons that you say
It filled me with rage because of the irresponsible quackery of the Geiers, who promote their own unreliable and potentially dangerous treatment for autism: Lupron. This is a drug used for prostate cancer in males and severe endometriosis in females. It has also been used more controversially to suppress sex urges in paedophiles and other serious sex offenders. Like all drugs, especially hormone-based ones, it has side effects, especially dangerous in children - and they are a lot more frequent than those of vaccines. And there is *no evidence* that it cures autism, or for that matter that it treats mercury poisoning. I would not take the word of people with such an agenda.

As regards the mercury issue - do you eat fish? That certainly contains more mercury (unfortunately) than any vaccine ever did.

And I might take the anti-vaccine campaigners a bit more seriously if they could even keep their story consistent. The British ones blame the MMR vaccine (which has never contained, or been accused of containing, mercury); the American ones blame mercury; etc.

By all means, mercury should be removed from vaccines, and insofar as possible from the environment as a whole. But autism rates have not gone down since the use of mercury in vaccines has been phased out - even if the use has not completely disappeared, it is *less*, which one would have expected to have an effect by now.
