This is an interesting statement the ABCs of the Bush administration amounted to "Anyth...ing But Clinton." They went so far as to cancel the joint briefing meetings Sandy Berger and Janet Reno had been holding between the CIA, FBI, NSA and other alphabet soup of security.

Sandy Berger told Rice that Osama Bin Laden would be her number one threat, but the Bush administration had little time for it. Thomas Pickard testified to the 9/11 commission that John Ashcroft "had little interest in terrorism in the summer of 2001." He was too busy planning a crusade against pornography.

Bush's "intensely partisan, politicized look-back at the prior administration" led to a rejection of Osama as a threat. We all know how that turned out.
