120. John Shadegg is from an "old"
Phoenix family. His father, Steve, was Barry Goldwater's campaign manager.

John is a life long, close friend of a guy I work with.

I surprised my co-worker on Friday with a present for Labor Day, Lou Dobb's "Exporting America: Why Corporate Greed Is Shipping American Jobs overseas."

I told him, "Steve, seriously you have simply got to open your eyes and ears if you care about the kind of future your daughter will have. And I know he does, that kid is everything to him.

I have posted the CBO graph that vivdly shows the reckless debt and deficit plunge we have been made to take under Bush* policies right over my desk. I frequently point to the graph and ask him, "Who is going to have to pay for this, Steve?" If you won't answer, I will, "It's your daughter who's going to have to pay."

And I express my disgust with his buddy Shadegg who was, until recently, a big balanced budget deficit hawk. I ask him, "What the hell happened to Shadegg that he so easily betrayed what were once his staunchest principles. Is he afraid some Hollywood actor might call him a 'girlie-man?'"

He seemed really interested in the Dobbs book and I think he will actually read it. We'll see.
