Palin can overcome reported obstacles

As a wife and mother who had to work and raise a special-needs child, I am appalled at the insinuation that Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin cannot be a good mother and be vice president. Has anyone asked Illinois Sen. Barack Obama whether he could be president and still be father to his children?

To assume that because her oldest daughter is pregnant that Palin cannot be in control of her family is ridiculous. It insinuates that every parent who has a daughter who gets pregnant as a teen is a bad parent. What happened to the women's movement that says women can do it all? We can.

When President Clinton had an affair while in the White House, everyone said it was a personal matter because it was his personal life. A little double standard here?

Lack of international experience? She runs a state that is bordered by Canada, and Russia is only 50 or 60 miles away. You think she never gets into any international issues?

The reaction of the Demlibs and media has set women's issues back 100 years. I will be happy to vote for the McCain-Palin ticket.

The overwhelming odor of stupid hit me right in the face when I read this idiocy. Who is this "everyone" who said that Clinton's sex life was off limits in the 90s? My memory is of Republicans, the very same ones who now want the Palins left alone, relentlessly hammering Clinton over his personal life, declaring him unfit for the presidency, and ultimately impeaching him. What alternate reality does this crazy woman remember instead?

Sestito's gratuitous slaps at "Demlibs" (wow, clever!) and the media, her repetition of the absurd claim that Barbie "gets into international issues" because Russia is "50 or 60 miles away" (actually, it's 2.5 miles away, but Republicans all flunked geography), and even the deeply moronic idea that it is liberals that have set back "women's issues" (say wha?), pale beside this completely insane, totally ass-backwards version of the right-wing feeding frenzy over Bill Clinton's personal life.

This foolish woman didn't just drink the Kool-Aid; she bathed in it. And now she smells like stupid.
