Of course it does. DLC stands for Democratic Leadership Council.

Because actual DLC membership is only for elected officals and civic leaders who have been successful in pushing policy initiatives... membership is by nonmination.

At it's heart the DLC is an organization of, for, and by what are mostly professional politicians and political operatives.

I don't reject them simply because their overuse of triangulation to co-opt conservative positions resulted in a predictable slide to more conservative positions. In the future the DLC's pursuit of anything it takes to get elected could just as likely swing them to the left.

I reject their organization on principles--it is elitist rather than democratic, and it is uncommited to traditional Democratic principles.
