5. What will you do if candidates show up?
I ask for a simple reason. It seems to me that, no matter what they may intend or claim to intend, candidates look for PR opportunities.

I could be Candidate X, showing up at this convention. I'm known to the press. They're following me. The people in the convention are jazzed. The press is here! They're covering us!

Now I, Candidate X, am greeted the way they greet Leonard Nimoy at a Star Trek convention. Everyone brings their agenda to me to "autograph." But I'm not there to visit "my people," or to approve anyone's agenda. I'm there to promote myself.

So, everyone at the convention is so jazzed that Candidate X is there, and they fail to notice that Candidate X isn't going to support any of their wacko political ideas, but go ahead and do what I intended already. You guys have been co-opted.

About the only way you can keep your moral purity is if, when Candidate X shows up, you say "Sorry, we're not buying any of that today. Go home and cook some oatmeal." And do that to every other candidate or person with their irons in the fire for the nomination.

So, I ask again. What will you do at this convention if Candidate X - ANY Candidate X - shows up and starts doing photo-ops? Are you going to keep your ideological purity or are you going to bend over?
