11. A couple of weeks ago I read an article which said a parrot in China saved its owner's bicycle, by

making the sound of a police siren.

The owner said she had just spotted a guy outside her house attempting to take it away, when the parrot, sitting by the window, opened up with his beloved siren sound, and the would-be thief apparently bought it and ran away.

Thanks to katty for this excellent parrot news. I'll bet you can expect parrot owners who see it will teach their own parrot friends to memorize their own addresses, as well. What a great idea!
