wearing a Buchanan button as a 'courtesy' is going way too far in pandering to the extreme right. Would she have worn a Kerry button if he'd visited her town, as a 'courtesy' - no, didn't think so. This indicates acceptance, even if not active support, for the Far Right.

Moreover, is supporting Forbes sooooo much better? Having looked him up, he seems to be probably less racist, but considerably more hawkish; and is a loony-rightie on economic issues, supporting a regressive flat tax. He is also an ultra-conservative on social issues. Ugh!

And presidential votes apart, why would Jews, or indeed any non-Christians (or indeed members of many Christian denominations) trust someone who is such a fanatical Christian-rightie?
