These people feel left out and afraid in a world that is changing too fast for them. They need to be calmed down somehow, if there was a work program like the WPA, with decent benefits, with jobs rebuilding our infrastructure and alternative energy grids(for example), they would gain a sense of purpose and dignity. There would be less time to watch TV.

The left is being manipulated to hate the people of the right. All of their antics are designed to piss us off and drive us nuts. The whole country is being manipulated to fight amongst ourselves while the companies make more cash.

What has made Edward Kennedy, and now Al Franken so skilled,is how they rise above the hate and only communicate with dignity. THis is the high skill that is needed right now. and it is not easy!!
