Did Bush know immediately on 9-11 that it was Al Qaida?

This part of Bush's speech has been bothering me all day. He caught himself after he said he was angry "on that day" at Al Qaida. Then he pointedly corrected himself to make sure it didn't look like he knew immediately.

"I didn't see -- I mean, I didn't have that great sense of outrage that I felt on September the 11th. I was -- on that day, I was angry and sad. Angry that al-Qaida -- I thought at the time al-Qaida, found out shortly thereafter it was al-Qaida -- had unleashed this attack. Sad for those who lost their life."

What do you think?

Also, did he really look angry or sad at all that day?
