I just saw Bush on TV react to the Paul Johnson beheading, and I heard a quote from Cheney. Both definitive, determined, macho statements that say this beheading was not justified in any way, and we're gonna go after those guys, one by one. (I know it's puff, not substance.)

But I sure would like to hear something bold, definitive, strong, and manly come out of the mouth of the Democratic presumptive nominee.

I'm just so angry over this newest beheading and scared for the thousands of workers still in Saudi Arabia. Are the terrorists going to kidnap someone here in America next? The Democrats have a history of being thought of as kinda wimpy. Kerry's a military guy. He comes off as soft and gentle, but I know he must have that macho stuff inside of him.

I don't mean ranting, raving, or pounding fists on a table. But something strong that would indicate to Americans that he can be a strong leader when these sorts of things happen, that he can make us feel safer and that things are in good hands.

Waddya say? Shouldn't he throw us a bone? Show us he can be strong and resolute and lead under these circumstances?
