7. There was cheating. Point taken. Now what?
Did the cheating affect the final outcome of the election? Possibly.
Was Gore elected in 2000? Probably.

And in the end, GWB is still in the White House. Being pragmatic, I think the best we can hope from this debacle is to impeach. Ironic. Impeaching a never-elected two-term president.

Sad commentary on democracy, isn't it? And this is the prize we hope to bring to the Iraqis at the end of the blood-letting.

Again, ironic.



On the up side, uncovering this now may effect a fairer election in 2006 and 2008.

Does anybody else have a more optimistic take on this? I would be happy to entertain more positive outcomes.
