reminds me of Sierra Leone or Port Au Prince after a coup battle

there's no explaining or rationalizing

some folks are just plain ignorant, never been taught squat, plainly feral, or just evil

or maybe all of the above


These freepers are so desperate not to blame anything on the institutions that they are now laying the blame on these gangs and looters for the crises. I wish I still trolled on there so I could ask one of them if they thought there'd be this anarchy if there were enough National Gaurd, Marines, search and rescue, and relief workers to both provide adequate security and to hand out ample water, food and medical supplies.

So, in short, what the freepers don't want to admit is that the social contract is like any other contract, both parties are tied to it with certain terms and conditons. In this case, it is clear that society is in breach of contract and so it is a fact of life that when society turns on the individual (we have let them down, our nation is capable of having ample supplies and security there within 24 hours), the individual turns upon society.
