you'd think so by listening to most republicans, whom i suppose have never been poor, and think that they probably never will be.

anyone who'd suggest that the poor of new orleans deserved what they got for not preparing for the future like 'everyone else', has obviously never been poor, or they wouldn't say such an unchristian thing.

the christ that they profess to worship admonished us to HELP THE POOR, the afflicted, the oppressed, and the downtrodden.

but then, when did they ever try to follow christ other than by using his name in vain?
