2. FDR generally considered one of the three truly great presidents
Along with Lincoln and Washington. Most historians have him so ranked. Unlike George Bush, FDR was a "Traitor to his class," genuinely concerned with the little guy. He saved capitalism in the midst of the nation's greatest economic crisis, and guided us through the war. A master of men, as the saying goes, but like Lincoln and Washington, never let anyone get too close to him. Would that we had an FDR now. He would never let pipsqueaks like the GOP neocons get away with it.
