3. There is "other" fuel in theater.
I just returned from Iraq last Dec. hauling fuel from the same camp that these reservists are at. It's called Cedar II. It's the main fuel point in Southern Iraq. The vast majority of fuel in theater is JP-8, but there are requirements for Mo-Gas and Diesel. We had 56 tankers, all hauled JP-8 except for the following.
2 - Water
6 - Mo-Gas

The DF-2 tanker's we had were taken to Arifjan (Kuwait) to be purged in order to haul JP-8. It is possible to inadvertently "mix" fuel, it rarely happens because the tankers are clearly marked with the fuel type they are intended to haul.
