3. I think they have hit on something that has been missing. And that is

reminding the country about what it was like under the last Democratic administration and reminding them that all those programs with rights for workers, the needy, the elderly, etc. were all Democratic programs, including Vet education aid, the G.I. Bill of Rights, etc. Republicans have done only four things: given huge tax breaks to corporations and wealthy, started wars, started economic depressions, grown the Federal government (despite claims to be against "big government" Federal roles increased under REagan, Bush I, and Bush II. Clinton actually reduced the Federal payrolls by over 200,000 employees.
