129. the breeding ground of the american taliban
the rules of the breeding ground of the american taliban:

http://www.bju.edu/prospective/expect/rhall

I point out a few very scary things:

"For the sake of accountability, students must "check out" when they leave the campus. Students gradually acquire more freedom in this area as they become upperclassmen."

Irony here...:

"Music must be compatible with the University's music standards:
New Age, jazz, rock, and country music is not permitted.
Contemporary Christian music is not permitted (e.g., Michael W. Smith, Stephen Curtis Chapman, WOW Worship, and so forth)."

"All weapons must be turned in for storage. Trigger locks are required for pistols. Fireworks are not permitted on campus."

So you can't have Jazz music at the american taliban headquarters, but you can bring a gun. I just listened to Incubus - woops I'm going to hell.

Seriously, this is bullshit. I'm a member of my church's youth leadership group and we are not this way at all. Rather than focus on all these rules we focus on relationships. Must I remind you that this university encouraged segregation until the year 2000 (they refused Blacks until 1971, only allowed married Black couples until 1975, lost their tax exempt status on denying interracial dating by an 8-1 ruling against the university in 1983, and didnt eliminate that policy until year 2000). Guys, I thought I saw it all with the whole election bullshit but this takes the cake. This is America's version of al Qaeda and the Taliban combined right on our soil. I'm not lying when I say this - I'd rather go to jail than be 100 miles from that place.
