In my area there is an organization called People Of Worship (POW)ministries. They wear their faith on everything so people can see how pious and oppressed they are. As a veteran I am enraged by their use of this term (POW) for themselves. But, Tom, you got it right, they try and portray themselves as the victims as they run roughshod over the others in this country.
