We've got quite a few Fundamentalists and/or Evangelicals here in Texas. But most of them would not agree with the beliefs of the Dominionists who have been politicizing religion.

Formerly, the Southern Baptists supported separation of Church & State. They would not tell the government what to do--& would not have to take orders from the Government. This changed about the time the Texas Republicans were taken over by the Religious Right. And Bush rode the movement to success.
