REALLY spread the FLU around a whole lot....
there are some ideas on the CDC web site for minimizing your risks....and you are exactly right to stay away from shaking hands, hugging people, and dirty doorKnobs over the holidays.....
it's very difficult to stay away from the FLU in big cities, like NYC (red right now) and DC (where I am, rapidly catching up to NYC)...church, trains, busses, work, restaurants, grocery stores, bathrooms, doorknobs...you can hardly get away from it...one person coughs and twenty people are exposed...
you might check around NOW for a flu shot....it takes at least TWO weeks to be effective, but that might help you by the high season in mid-January.....
