No, you're not a Socialist. However, I AM a Socialist(NOT because of Bush, because of most of the Twentieth Century) and if you ever want to join the movement, you're more than welcome. If not, no hard feelings.

People have been called socialists just for supporting civil rights, unions a clean environment, or opposing wars, homophobia or any other form of injustice.

The British would have called Thomas Paine and possibly Thomas Jefferson "socialists" if the term had existed.

The Romans would have called Jesus one, and may in fact have called him whatever the equivalent term was in Latin, Classical Greek or Aramaic.
(we'll never know, since Mel Gibson wasn't filming that day...)

So, basically, there are worse things to be called. Far worse.

Like say, a Satanist. Or a Texas Republican.

(Tomorrow, I'll be having the funeral mass for my wife, who died a proud Irish American Socialist. Keep me in your thoughts, if you get a chance)
