What's the matter?
Was it out of cat season?

Most 'do gooders' do not really care about animals. They are simply Leftists. Imagine you're a mangy stray cat, trying to scrape out a living, on your own. 3 or 4 humans manage to corner you, cause you pain, and put you in a cage. (Dog catchers no longer perform this service.) You're scared to death. Next, you're sent to the pound, and put in another cage, among many other scared cats and dogs. You're on death row. Finally, you're put into a box, and gassed to death. So much for the 'legal way' of doing things.

A simple shot from a 22 cal to the head, brings immediate results. No terrifying entrapment, pain due to mishandling, time in jail, or execution by gas. Which way is most humane?

Let the flak fly, but I am on the side of the WalMart manager on this one. Feral cats are among the biggest nuisances in the great outdoors. They kill untold number of songbirds. Once truly feral, they cannot be returned to domestic status, and in fact will kill your pet pussykins if they catch him outside. They need to be destroyed. If there is blame here, it is for the people who allow their cats to breed and run wild.

If that stray cat was in some of the things that might be sold to people to eat, I can surely see why they would shoot him. Maybe he was just so evasive, they had to shoot him. Come on people, this was a cat. How many are killed every day in the animal shelters because they can't find homes for them? Personally, I would never have one, as they crawl on kitchen counters, etc. To each his own.

Federal Animal Cruelty? What is happening to us has the world gone mad? I don't like the idea of shooting some poor cat, on the other hand people are way more important, the guys that shot the cat probably don't care for the critters in the first place but they too have families and lives and it does not measure correct to compare it to "cat" life.

So let's see, we hom/minority hate crimes, illegal alien protection, lesbian protection, muslim protection, animal protection, but no protection for the unborn, white heterosexual males, tax payers of every stripe, businesses, Christian-Judeo values, the ten commandments, God, Christmas, family values and all things making the backbone of a long lasting society.

Stand up and be counted folks and don't get caught up in the "fluffy" syndrome, more cats and dogs get squished on the highways because the people that "LOVE" them and "CARE" for them let them get out and wander around or just get tired of them and get rid of them.

Give me a break. We have thousands of people dead in a natural disaster and these morons are worried about someone shooting a cat!

I have nothing against animals, I love to eat them (not cats though, I don't like chow mein) but to tie up the Federal Court System due to animal cruelty laws just illustrates how silly we have become.

That does it for me: I'm gonna go spend some money at Walmart.

Actually, I love cats. They tase a little like chicken.

Cats are the handmaidens of Satan.

This is a pile of nothing. It was just a cat for God's sake. With all the important problems in the world, why would anyone worry about this silly incident. Use some common sense.
