19. The thing is. . .
This has been done before and we can do it again. It was called the "Great Depression." Most of us, maybe, have way too much stuff cluttering up our lives. I'm only 44, but my grandma died two years ago at age 103. She'd seen it all and lived to tell. My parents, gone young, bless them, made us work our butts off as kids. Milking a cow, 2 acre vegetable garden, cutting wood for extra money, picking rocks--man, I swore a lot back then at them. What a gift they gave me. . . I know how to do it. It's not hard, just a shift in priorites, and I hate to say it, but it's "HARD WORK!" The real kind, not the kind President Dumbass talks about. We'll make it. Just like our grandparents and parents did. In a way, I think it would be a HUGE relief to give up some of the stuff we think we're so attached to and can't live without. That's real freedom.
