Sadly, this is true. The religious right wraps themselves in the flag and waves the Bible. Therefore, in their sick minds, anybody who disagrees with them is not only "anti-American", but "anti-Christian" as well! There is a harcore rightwing talk show host named Laura Ingraham. She played a clip of somebody speaking out against anti-gay discrimination, then exclaimed,"that statement is a slap in the face to all people of faith!"
