216. US Navy WIN here

Served peacetime, unless you count the Libyan Conflict. Our group was overseeing the exercises in the Gulf of Sidra that kicked off that whole fracas. Scariest and most exciting watch I ever stood! Later that week I got to meet the pilots who shot down the Libyan Migs. One of them explained for me the Russian maneuver they pulled to catch them. I was awed.

Of course I was very young and impressionable and politically unaware.
