10. The worst 'sin' is hypocrisy, if we go by how many times it is
mentioned in the NT. But fundies also pick and choose from the OT, generally when something is negative about others and their lifestyles.

For those who claim to follow the teachings of Jesus, there certainly is a lack of compassion, empathy, forgiveness, caring and any of the other positive aspects of Christian tenets.IMO, anyone who uses the Scriptures to foster hate and sow the seeds of discord, are about as far from the teachings of Jesus as one can get.

It is sad to have witnessed one of the worlds great religions hijacked by goons that cannot control themselves...Islam has the same problem, btw. Many of the leaders in both of these belief systems are so filled with hate they will ever see straight. There are many, lesser voices to be sure, that understand that religion should be a haven of peace and justice, not a boiling kettle of hatred and bigotry.

Sadly, the Phelps', Robertson's, Osama's and Khomeini's will never understand the damage they have done to the great religions of the world...:(
